The Corporate and Investment Banking division of Absa Bank Ltd (Absa), and member of Barclays, today announced the appointments of Chris Kotze and Robert Benvenuti as Head of Transactional Product, Africa and Head of Change respectively of Corporate Banking.
Kotze replaces Vivek Ramachandran and will continue to build a regional Cash and Trade strategy for Africa. He will also join the Corporate Banking executive committee.
Benvenuti will be in charge of leading business change across the Corporate Banking portfolio of Cash Management and Liquidity, Trade and Working Capital as well as Debt and Coverage.
“As our Corporate Banking proposition continues to gain traction, it is critical that we attract high calibre, talented individuals who recognise the exciting opportunities that the proposition offers and are able to translate the same to our clients,” said Temi Ofong, Head of Corporate Banking, Corporate and Investment Banking, Absa.
“In Chris and Robert we believe we have found two such individuals,” said Ofong.
Collectively Kotze and Benvenuti have over 30 years experience in the banking and change management industries.
Prior to joining Absa, Kotze held the position of Chief Executive Officer, Global Transactional Services at FirstRand Corporate and Investment Banking, while Benvenuti was Head, Solutions and Implementation in the Acquiring Division at Standard Bank.
