Absa Capital Securities, the institutional stock broking unit of Absa Bank Ltd (Absa) and affiliated to Barclays, today announced the appointments of Quintus Kilbourn as Head of Equities and Matthias Jost as Head of Equities Sales Trading.
Kilbourn will be responsible for all South Africa and Africa equities related trading activity, including delta-1, volatility and complex derivatives, as well as local equity research and sales in partnership with global matrix reporting lines for these functions. Jost will lead the cash equities sales trading team reporting to Kilbourn. They both join from Citigroup South Africa, where Kilbourn was most recently Head of Equities and Jost Head of Sales Trading, having joined in 2004 and 2002 respectively.
